    Q. Do I receive a discount when I use a contractor from your network?

    The referral service does not offer a discount. The referral service, powered by ServiceMagic matches you with contractors/tradespeople in your area who have been pre-screened and pre-qualified so that you get a dependable tradesperson. A personal project advisor will be assigned to help guide you through every step of your project.

    You will be notified as soon as a service professional indicates that they are interested in your job. Typically, you will be notified within 24 hours, but notification may occur within minutes.

    Q. What's the 200% Low Price Guarantee?
    A.
    Shopping prices are backed by our low price guarantee. If you see a dated, printed advertisement from an authorized dealer showing a lower price for exactly the same item you purchased from The Shopping Outlet within 60 days of your purchase (15 days for computer products and digital cameras), you are entitled to a refund for the difference in price - plus 100%! (Example: If you buy a product for $100 and find the product elsewhere for $90, The Shopping Outlet will give you a credit for $20.00). Also, if we lower our own prices within 60 days of your purchase (15 days for computer products and digital cameras), on exactly the same item that you purchased from The Shopping Outlet, we will gladly refund the difference between the old and new prices.

    "Exactly the same" means an item with the same model number, manufacturer's U.S. warranty and accessories, as the one you bought from The Shopping Outlet. The advertised, lower-priced model must be from an authorized dealer for that product. Pagers, cellular phones, motorized vehicles, demonstration models, items purchased at limited sales, one-of-a-kind items, food products and collectibles items are excluded, as are items purchased in the independent vendors areas of the The Shopping Outlet website (a current example is the Art For Less area). A dated print ad from a retailer, URL, or printout must be submitted. Only these items will be considered as proof for the refund.

    We reserve the right to limit sales and benefits (including Low Price Guarantee) to resellers. Calculation of the amount of your credit will take into account sales tax and shipping.     The following additional terms apply for members joining after August 1, 2003: Claims for price adjustments for camcorders and video games must be made with in fifteen (15) days of purchase. Refunds are limited to a maximum of three (3) claims on any one type of item per Member per twelve-month period and up to a maximum of $1,000 per Member per twelve-month period.

    Q. Do I receive a warranty?

    Every warrantied item you purchase comes with all the manufacturers' US guarantees and warranties in full effect if applicable. Plus, GMAC CompleteHome automatically extends the manufacturer's warranty for active members for a full two years from date of purchase. Your extra warranty coverage is at no extra charge. If you fail to get satisfaction from the manufacturer, our Customer Service reps will happily assist you. GMAC CompleteHome will do everything to ensure you're satisfied.

    Two-Year Warranty Protection applies only to GMAC CompleteHome purchases. Membership must be active at time of purchase and warranty claim.

    $1,000.00 Service Guarantee: GMAC CompleteHome covers loss resulting from the work, to the extent that it is incomplete, not in compliance with the terms of any binding contract, or not within normal standards of workmanship. This coverage is limited to the amount of the actual financial cost to correct the work, but will in no event exceed $1,000.00 per covered project.

    Terms and conditions: All claims must be made within 30 days after the job is completed. All contracts, GMAC CompleteHome job referral codes, and receipts must be provided upon request for each specific project. For coverage under this Service Guarantee, you must be an active GMAC CompleteHome member at the time the tradesperson is referred, the work is performed, and the Service Guarantee claim is made. When making a claim under this Service Guarantee, you must provide a professional estimate of the cost to repair the work for each specific project. This coverage is voided under any of the following circumstances: (1) during the course of the job, a tradesperson or contractor outside the GMAC CompleteHome Contractor Solutions Center is used to perform part of the job; (2) materials not supplied by the GMAC CompleteHome tradesperson are used in the job; (3) the work involves carpet cleaning and/or maid service. Neither ServiceMagic nor GMAC CompleteHome/Trilegiant Corporation are responsible or liable for the services or actions of such contractors.
